I'm not sure what the thread count is on these sheets. The large label says 600 Thread count 100% Egyptian cotton--but the smaller description says 450 TC.The bottom sheet fit pretty well and I was able to tuck it into the sides of the waterbed. The length seemed a bit shorter than my previous set. It didn't go all the way to the bottom of the waterbed at the head and foot. The poles we had from previous sheet sets fit in the pole pockets. These are basically PVC plastic pipe you can buy at any big box store.The top sheet is skimpy as it only overlaps the sides of the waterbed by a little bit more than an inch. The length of the top sheet seems to be the same as our previous sheets and the top sheet is attached to the bottom one.I washed the sheets in cold water and dried them on the permanent press setting with a dryer sheet for 20 minutes before putting them on the bed. They did soften up and felt good to sleep on.I got the navy blue sheets and they are a very dark navy--almost black.
